Ayesa Digital’s Board of Directors approves the appointments of Ucín as Chairman and Baraza as Chief Executive Officer

The company’s highest governing body is composed of nine board members and will be further strengthened with the addition of new independent directors.

A new phase begins with the aim of consolidating the company as one of the leading providers of digital services in Europe.

This morning marked the first meeting of Ayesa Digital’s Board of Directors following the recent completion of its acquisition by its new shareholders, thereby launching a new phase focused on consolidating the company as one of the leading providers of digital services in Europe.

The Board of Directors is composed of nine members:

• Iñigo Ucín, Chairman, serving as an independent director
• Unai Rementeria, proprietary director, representing Fundación Bancaria BBK
• Javier Aldazabal, proprietary director, representing Fundación Bancaria BBK
• Jon Ander de las Fuentes, proprietary director, representing Indar Kartera (Kutxabank)
• Koldo Etxeberria, proprietary director, representing Indar Kartera (Kutxabank)
• Amaia del Villar, proprietary director, representing Finkatuz (Basque Government)
• Jaione Ganzarain, proprietary director, representing Finkatuz (Basque Government)
• Jon Urresti, proprietary director, representing Vital Fundazioa
• Joseba Lekube, proprietary director, representing Teknei

The company’s highest governing body will be further complemented by the appointment of additional independent directors.

Non-Executive Chairman and CEO

At its first meeting, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Iñigo Ucín as Non-Executive Chairman of Ayesa Digital, and Manuel Baraza as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Iñigo Ucín brings extensive experience in the industrial and management fields, having served as Chairman of the General Council of Mondragón Corporation; Vice Chairman of Mondragón Corporation (Industrial Automation and Machine Tool Division); and Chief Executive Officer of Danobat, among other roles. He also served as Chairman of the Governing Council of Mondragón University.

He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto and a Master’s degree in Innovation Management from the same institution.

Manuel Baraza, for his part, has more than 35 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, over 25 of which have been spent at Ibermática and Ayesa Digital. During this time, he has held positions including Commercial Director, International Director, Industry Director, Energy and Utilities Director, Global Markets Director (CMO), and most recently, Global Chief Operating Officer (COO).

He holds a degree in Technical Industrial Engineering from the University of Zaragoza and specializes in Information Technologies applied to industry.
